Soon you will be able to visit and much more easily envision the opportunity that the Town Common land presents. A group of volunteers recently cut the grass and brush in the lower area of the site exposing the full potential of that area. They also carefully cut and groomed a perimeter trail around the hilly northern portion of the site from which visitors can access and view the unique characteristics and beauty of the site. A natural overlook area has been groomed and is ideal for picnics and viewing the uplands, slopes and lower open area of the site
Abatement of the property is underway and will be completed later this month. The necessary wetlands permitting has been completed for the demolition and “daylighting” Great Brook, now passing under the foundation of the garage. Demolition of the three buildings is scheduled for November.
Please walk the trail and imagine the opportunities! Guided trail walks can be arranged by e-mailing to email@example.com.
