What can we say but THANK YOU to an incredible Bolton community. We knew the Bolton Town Common Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting would be fun, but we were absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible turnout. More than six hundred people came to celebrate, over 300 kids visited Santa, and our local D2 MA Super Bowl football champions lead the countdown. At a time when we are often at odds over town politics and viewpoints, the event at the Common was evidence that this town is hungry for more community.
The event would not have been possible if it were not for the approximate 200 Bolton residents and friends who have donated $905,000 toward the Bolton Town Common initiative. The Christmas Tree & Menorah Lighting event gave us a glimpse of what is possible for Bolton's future. At the event, you couldn't help but think about what else this Common will make possible… from holiday events, to concerts, to ice skating, to theater troupe performances and so much more. The possibilities are unlimited. But the reality is that we need to reach our fundraising goal of $1.47M to make the Bolton Town Common a reality.
If you enjoyed the event, we hope that you will consider giving toward Our Common Cause. Starting this month, you can also buy a custom-inscribed brick that will help "Pave the Way to the Common." Consider honoring your family, a loved one, a teacher, or in memoriam. Bolton Town Common Bricks also make a unique holiday gift – giving your friends and family members a permanent spot in Bolton’s history!
Again, thank you for making Saturday night a success and please consider making a donation to help us get to the finish line!
