Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or just someone who wants to support the Bolton community and our effort to build our Town Common, please join us for our Bolton 5K & Family Festival! Taking place on October 8th starting at 10am at Schartner Farm, the 5K will bring participants down beautiful West Berlin Road with views of the Boston skyline and then up Sawyer Road passing Nicewicz Farm on the way back.
But the event is more than a road race. The 5K will be followed by a family festival beginning at 11am with kids' games, corn maze races, hay rides, petting zoo, music from DJ Joel Bates, and refreshments for all participants. Burgers, fries and hot dogs will be sold by the Bolton Lions Club and “slow and low barbecue” will be offered by Bolton’s own Local 225 Food Truck, with proceeds going to the Common.
Perhaps the most anticipated event of the day is the Common Craze Corn Maze, a one-mile race around Schartner’s Corn Maze for kids under 10, which drew more than 100 kids last year. Following the kids’ race, awards will be given to the top three male and female 5K finishers from every age category. And all kids will receive a medal for participating in the Common Craze Corn Maze Race.
More than a dozen area businesses have stepped forward to sponsor the event, with Clinton Savings Bank acting as our Premium Partner.
You can register or get more information on our website,
The first 250 people to register for the 5K will receive a FREE DRIFIT T-SHIRT!
Even if you don't want to run, please join us for the fun!
